  • One Piece - This episode has references to the anime and manga series One Piece.
    • At one point, Wanda says that if the kids decide to play some music during the trip, they better not play any rap music, a reference to the rap theme used as the opening theme song of the infamous English dub of One Piece by 4Kids Entertainment.
  • Rugrats - The episode is a bit similar to the Rugrats episode "Sand Ho!".
  • SpongeBob SquarePants - The episode is similar to the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Arrgh!". Both episodes involve the main characters going on a treasure hunt.
