• One Piece - This episode has references to the anime and manga series One Piece.
    • At one point, Wanda says that if the kids decide to play some music during the trip, they better not play any rap music, a reference to the rap theme used as the opening theme song of the infamous English dub of One Piece by 4Kids Entertainment.
  • Rugrats - The episode is a bit similar to the Rugrats episode "Sand Ho!".
  • SpongeBob SquarePants - The episode is similar to the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Arrgh!". Both episodes involve the main characters going on a treasure hunt.
  • Batman - When Timmy agrees to have Kristina join the Wishing Ten, she was offered to be the team's oracle, similar to Barbara Gordon who was once Batgirl and later on Oracle.
    • Barbara Gordon was also voiced by Timmy and Kristina's respective voice actresses, Tara Strong (The New Batman Adventures, Super Best Friends Forever, Lauren Faust's DC Super Hero Girls and other medias) and Mae Whitman (Batman: The Brave and the Bold and Shea Fontana's DC Super Hero Girls).
  • Futurama - As Timmy and the others were fighting different types of pirates, Anne took a quick look at another incoming army, noticing it's space pirates, which got Tony questioning about them, making Anne reply that they are pirates, but in space, similar to Leela and Fry in the Futurama episode, "Godfellas".
  • Hook - Astronov's pirate outfit is similar to Rufio from the Steven Spielberg movie Hook, who was played by Dante Basco.
