  • Neptunia's debate on which dress to wear when she lives at Mama Cosma's house and Cosmo's responses while he's watching TV are a reference to the episode "The Boy Who Would be Queen", when Cosmo and Wanda switch genders.
  • During the end of the episode at the game section in the Mall, Mr. Turner saw Timmy and Ivan's godparents in plain sight, but he was too dumb to suspect them as fairies.

  • Avatar: The Last Airbender - Neptunia yelling "I'M COMPLETELY CALM!!!" moments before breaking up with Astronov after Ivan tells her to calm down is similar to Katara yelling the same words at Aang when he tried to calm her down after Toph called her "sugar queen" in the episode "The Chase" of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Both Neptunia and Katara are voiced by Mae Whitman.
  • The Ren and Stimpy Show - The music that plays from the TV as Cosmo turns it on is the theme song for the Ren and Stimpy Show, one of the first Nicktoons to be made. The episode that Cosmo watches is "Man's Best Friend", which was banned by Nickelodeon for excessive violence in a scene where Ren beats up George with an oar. The episode wasn't shown until 2003 with the debut of the Adult Party Cartoon on TNN/Spike TV. The sounds from the episode are used, and Cosmo describes what he sees, although the episode itself isn't seen.
