- Bio-Dome - The plot of the episode is similar to the critically panned 1996 movie Bio-Dome, and is based on the original script of Bio-Dome, which was a more serious story about two slackers who accidentally get caught in the titular Bio-Dome, and learn to cope and help the Bio-Dome 5 team of scientists instead of the script used in the film where two slackers cause trouble in the Bio-Dome.
- The two lunatic criminals are based on Bud Macintosh and Doyle Johnson, the main protagonists of Bio-Dome played by Pauly Shore and Stephen Baldwin.
- Johnny Bravo - This episode is similar to the Johnny Bravo episode "Biosphere Johnny", which is also based on Bio-Dome.
