- "Sometimes... Love hurts!"
- — Cupid
|
Cupid is one of the major characters in "The All New Fairly OddParents!. His primary job is spreading love all around the universe with his bow and arrows, if necessary. His magical arrows cause a living creature to fall in love with another being at first sight, and at one point, they were stolen. Only fairies are able to see the arrows, as humans will be unable to see them. Whether Cupid's not spreading love, he's hanging out with his friends or cooking something delicious like pancakes. But Cupid mostly likes to be a fry cook when not spreading love everywhere, much like one of Tom Kenny's characters, SpongeBob SquarePants, who works as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab.
Character
He is a fairy whose purpose is to create love all over the world, and it is revealed in one episode that he will die if there is no love. Although he "loves love", he has a greedy, more selfish side to him and is easily irritated. He lives in his mansion in Fairy World, occasionally hosting a party for godchildren which is really just an elaborate scheme to get them to do his shopping.
Description
Cupid has pink hair styled in an exaggerated coif, and wears a matching pink suit with a bow tie. As he is a god, he has a few physical differences that set him apart, such as feathered wings and a lack of crown. He also wears a diaper and apparently has a whole wardrobe of them. He has feminine and flamboyant mannerisms, but is quite well-spoken. Cupid is altogether a fairy, a god, and a holiday character.
